Ryan Seconds
Board Approves
Ruth Inglis-Widrick: Proposes the X-1 Report should be presented the General Manager (GM)/ Interim General Management Team (IMT) every month.
Emily Heinz/Tara McGuire: Instead of preparing the X-1 Report every month, it is only useful every Quarter when financial statements are most accurate. In the meantime, the Balance and Profit/Loss reports are what can produce a snapshot into the financial status.
Board Agrees
Interim Management Team Reporting
Trinity Bigford: Working on maintaining a stable margin across the store and when the situation warrants it, the staff will start to comparison shop to make sure all margins/pricing is up-to-date. Once this happens, the Co-Op may opt to remove products everyone else has.
Thinking of initiating a new bulletin board at the front for buying club potential costumers which can encourage bulk buying.
Bulk is down but rearranging bulk for a more conducive buying environment is something which is being done to the current area.
Co-Opon is a Co-Op member’s way to get discounts around Old Town at participating establishments. Have a great interest already.
Both Trinity and Laura met with Maria with Community funded about the possibility of creating a profile for raising money for a new cooler and more.
Amber/Trinity: Think it may be too early for Community Funded
Board Agrees
Emily Heinz: Maybe we can roll the cost of the cooler into the current loan with the Lender. Think we can get money based on building equity.
Trinity: Agree that once we become a better Co-Op, we can hopefully prove to people and members the Co-Op is moving forward. That would be a better time to raise money for the future of the Co-Op.
Emily: Based upon the amount of the building and the ability to utilize it for collateral for a loan, we could attain a small business loan which we can even utilize to help pay for the current loan and eliminate the higher interest rate.
Amber Lamb: Motions to hold off on our involvement with Community Funded and to determine an alternative way of attaining money.
Emily: Seconds
Board Agrees
Ryan McGuire: As Treasurer and now the role having a more involvement with the Co-Op’s overall profit/loss and balance information, I am happy to see the statements finally show that even though sales are down from last year, inventory is down as well. This is a better trend than what we saw last year. Not to mention, there is a total profit this month which we didn’t see much of last year. Good work IGMT.
Move to approve IGMT Reports
Patrick Seconds
Board Agrees
