Pizza has always been my go-to comfort food (besides mac n’ cheese, of course) and there’s nothing like this colder weather that makes me crave it more. Thankfully, Mountain Avenue Market has all the ingredients you need to make your own at home.
First and foremost, you’ll need to start with the pizza crust. We have you covered with a gluten free Pizza Crust Mix from Bob’s Red Mill. And if you don’t have time for a full do-it-yourself kind of day, grab one of our pre-made crusts! We have a cauliflower-based option and an organic flatbread, both from Rustic Crust, which you cand find in our bread section.
Next, you’re going to need the sauce. My favorite is the organic pizza sauce from Muir Glen, but some prefer an olive oil base, of which we have many different options to choose from (Montebello, Willoughby, and Field Day, just to name a few). Next (and my favorite part of any pizza) the cheese. Grate your own with a block of Mozzarella from Cheese Importers, based in Longmont, CO, or get your fresh mozzarella pre-sliced from BelGioioso. Going dairy free? Try our shredded mozzarella from Violife. 100% vegan, it’s also without soy, gluten, and preservatives.
Now for the fun part: toppings. Go the classic route with our uncured pepperoni from Niman Ranch, or switch it up with ingredients like marinated artichoke hearts from Marin Brand and roasted red peppers from Divina. Whatever your style, Mountain Avenue Market’s got you covered.
